Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)

Route agent actions that require human approval, for example during access policies and workflows, to the right team, in the tool they already use.

What is a Human-in-the-Loop integration

Some agent actions are too sensitive to allow automatically. A Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) integration gives Agent Identity Security a channel to send those actions to a real person for approval, instead of blocking silently or allowing them by default.

How approval routing works

HITL channels are triggered by the rules you already define elsewhere in Agent Identity Security:

  • Access policies can require approval before an agent is allowed to perform a specific action or reach a specific resource.
  • Workflows can pause at a step and wait for a human decision before continuing.

When either of those triggers fires, Agent Identity Security posts the request to the configured HITL channel. The approver's decision, approve or deny, is sent back to Agent Identity Security and the agent's action proceeds or is blocked accordingly.
