Executing a Scheduled Discovery Scan Before Schedule

Executing a Scheduled Discovery Scan Before Schedule

In addition to running at their configured intervals, scheduled discovery scans can now be triggered manually, ahead of their predefined schedule. This capability is particularly useful in time-sensitive scenarios where the latest certificate is required for purposes such as troubleshooting or compliance.

Important: This feature is RBAC-controlled, which means only authorized users will be able to see the corresponding menu option and trigger a scheduled discovery before time.

To execute a scheduled discovery scan manually, ahead of its schedule:

Go to (Menu) > CERT+ > CERTIFICATE DISCOVERY > Discovery Status > Scheduled.
The Discovery Status : Scheduled page is displayed, listing all existing scheduled discovery instances.
To manually trigger a scheduled discovery instance, select the checkbox corresponding to that discovery instance.
From the Actions dropdown menu, select Run now.
The message Discovery execution has been triggered successfully is displayed and the active discovery instance is moved into the on-demand discovery instances inventory.
Note: This does not impact the scheduled discoveries; they will be triggered as per the configured schedule.
