Downloading Connected Platform Reports for Your Tenant

Learn how to download consolidated connected platform reports at the tenant level. Generate comprehensive reports that include data across all enabled products in your AppViewX ONE deployment, enabling complete visibility into your multi-product environment in a single export.

Before downloading connected platform reports, ensure you have:

  • Access to the AppViewX ONE Platform with appropriate tenant-level permissions
  • One or more AppViewX products enabled (CERT, ADC, SSH, PKI, SIGN, KUBE, DDI)
  • Administrative or reporting permissions for your tenant
  • Sufficient data across enabled products to generate meaningful reports
  • A web browser with download capabilities enabled
  1. Access the Platform administration console.
    1. Log in to your AppViewX ONE instance with your tenant credentials.
    2. Navigate to Platform > Administration.
    3. Select your tenant from the tenant switcher (if managing multiple tenants).
  2. Locate the Connected Platform Reports section.
    1. Look for the Reporting or Reports menu in the Administration area.
    2. Select Connected Platform Reports or Multi-Product Reports option.
      Note: The exact menu structure may vary depending on your platform version and enabled modules.
    3. The Connected Platform Reports page is displayed, showing available report options.
  3. Configure the report filters and options.

    Customize your report to include only the data you need.

    1. Select which enabled products to include in the report:
      • Certificate Management (CERT)
      • Application Delivery Controller (ADC)
      • Secure Shell (SSH)
      • Private Key Infrastructure (PKI)
      • Code Signing (SIGN)
      • Kubernetes (KUBE)
      • Domain and DNS (DDI)
    2. Choose the report date range:
      • Last 7 days
      • Last 30 days
      • Current month
      • Custom date range
    3. Select the data granularity options:
      • Summary View: High-level metrics across all products
      • Detailed View: Comprehensive data for each product module
      • Metrics Only: Key performance indicators and statistics
    4. Configure the exclusion options:
      • Exclude User Information: Removes user-related data from the report (recommended for data privacy)
      • Exclude System Events: Omits platform system logs and diagnostic information
      • Exclude Archived Data: Includes only active, current data
  4. Preview the report contents.
    1. Click Preview to see a sample of the report data before downloading.
    2. Review included sections:
      • Tenant Overview: Tenant name, ID, and report generation date
      • Product Summary: Status and key metrics for each enabled product
      • Cross-Product Metrics: Unified statistics across all modules
      • Data Collections: Inventory counts and status distribution
    3. Verify that all desired products and metrics are included in the preview.
    4. If adjustments are needed, click Back to modify filters and regenerate the preview.
  5. Initiate the report download.
    1. Click Download Report button to generate and download the report.
    2. Select your preferred export format:
      • Excel (.xlsx): Multi-sheet workbook with separate tabs for each product and summary data
      • PDF (.pdf): Formatted document with charts and formatted tables
      • CSV (.csv): Comma-separated values for import into external tools
    3. The system processes your report request. A status indicator shows generation progress.
    4. Once generation completes, the file automatically downloads to your default download location.
  6. Review the downloaded report.

    After downloading, examine the report structure and content.

    1. Open the downloaded file with the appropriate application:
      • Excel/XLSX: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc
      • PDF: Any PDF reader
      • CSV: Text editor or spreadsheet application
    2. For Excel format, review the worksheet tabs:
      • Cover Page: Tenant information and report metadata
      • Executive Summary: High-level overview and key metrics
      • Product Tabs: Individual sheets for each enabled product (CERT, ADC, SSH, etc.)
      • Cross-Product Analysis: Comparisons and unified metrics
    3. Verify data accuracy and completeness against your expectations.
    4. Check that user-related information is excluded if that option was selected.
  7. Share or archive the report.
    1. To share with team members, attach or upload the report to your collaboration platform or email system.
    2. To archive for compliance, move the downloaded report to your document management or archival system.
    3. Consider renaming the file with a date prefix for easy identification: YYYY-MM-DD_Connected_Platform_Report_[TenantName].xlsx
    4. Store reports securely, as they may contain sensitive infrastructure and configuration information.
  8. Schedule automated report generation (optional).

    Set up recurring reports for regular delivery and tracking.

    1. Return to the Connected Platform Reports page.
    2. Look for Schedule Report or Recurring Reports option.
    3. Configure the schedule settings:
      • Frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly
      • Day/Time: Specific date and time for report generation
      • Delivery: Email recipients or store in system repository
      • Retention: How long to keep generated reports
    4. Enable notifications for report completion and any generation errors.
    5. Save the schedule.
      Reports will now generate automatically on the specified schedule.
