Creating a Tag

To create a tag:

  1. Go to (Menu) icon > KUBE+ > GROUPS & POLICIES > Tags.

    The Tags page is displayed.

  2. On the command bar, click +Create.
    The Tag Creation popup window opens.
  3. Enter the following details:

    Field Description
    *Tag Name Name of the tag.
    Description Enter a brief description for the tag.
    Configuration Click +Add to configure and map the clusters, namespaces, and authorized actions for this tag. Enter or select the following details:
    • Clusters - Select one or more clusters. You can enable Regex to support pattern-based cluster selection..
    • Namespaces - Derived from selected clusters.

      • Only common namespaces are displayed.

      • If no common namespace matches, add a new configuration or enable Regex for pattern-based matching.

    • Authorized Actions - Select one or more actions that users with this tag are authorized to perform:
      • Cluster Management
      • Trust Store Bundle
      • Certification Enrollment (Secure Apps)
      • CA Policy Management (Cluster Policy)
    After selecting the details, click Add.

  4. Click Save.

    • The tag is created and added to the Tag Inventory.

    • The tag is also added to the selected inventories.

    • To assign RBAC access to the tag, refer to the Create a Resource section in the Platform Guide.
