Create LTM Application Services
This workflow creates virtual server along with pool and other objects using application services (AS3) in F5.
Prerequisites
To run this workflow:-
The AS3 service has to be enabled in the target F5 device.

F5 device list displays only AS3 service enabled and active devices.
- Go to Menu > ADC+ > AUTOMATION > Workflow Catalog > View/Run
- Click the F5 BIG-IP AS3 category on the View/Run Workflows page.

On the popup window, hover the mouse over the Create LTM
Application Services workflow.
The Run and Schedule buttons are displayed.

The Request > Create LTM Application Services :: FormBuilder page is displayed. -
Enter/select the Device and Partition Details.
Table 1. Device and Partition Details Section - Field and Description Table Field Description **Device Name Select a device from the dropdown list. Only the devices that are AS3 enabled and active are displayed. *Partition Type Select a partition type. The options are: -
Create New Partition (default) - select this option to create a new partition.

Existing Partition - select this option to choose an existing partition.Note: Partition dropdown lists only the partitions created via AS3 triggered API calls.
*Enter Partition Name Enter the partition name. -

Enter/select the required details in the Enter Virtual Server Details
section.

Enter/select the required deatils in the Enter Pool Details section.

Enter Pool Details Section - Field and Description Table Field Description *Pool Name Enter the pool name. *Pools Load Balancing Method Select a load balancing method for the pools. *Pool Member addresses Enter pool member' IP addresses. *Pool Member Service Port Enter pool member service port. *Pool Members Click the add button to add the pool member's details to the Pool Members table. Note: After adding the pool member's details to the Pool Members table, you can modify them. - Select the Additional Details.

Click Submit.
The Confirmation dialog box is displayed.

To save this form so you can edit it later, click Save Draft and then click
OK.
The form will be saved as Open request under Request > My Request.
OR
To submit the form, click OK.
The validation starts automatically and reaches the Review stage, after which the workflow is created.Note:- If there is any failure at this stage, start a new request by providing the correct data.
- Alternatively, select the failed request and clone it. Update the correct input data in the form input, and submit the workflow again.
Note: The stages of the request are shown in the left side of the screen. To view a particular stage of the request, click the respective stage. -
Click Ok to submit the form.
